Mitchell Pearce freely apologizes for the lewd video. He claims he is working with the club to address his alcohol addiction. In the video, he also appears to urinate on the couch and gave the woman an unwanted kis*.
Mitchell Pearce has spoken out in front of the media for the first time since the lewd video scandal, admitting that he has an alcohol problem and knows he needs help.
“My behaviour was unacceptable. I’m embarrassed and take full responsibility for my actions. I acknowledge I have a problem with alcohol and it is something I have to address”
In 2014 Pearce was handed a one-match suspension and a $20,000 fine after an incident at a Kings Cross nightclub.The incident cost Pearce his spot in the New South Wales State of Origin side, and included in the Roosters’ sanctions of 2014 was an agreement to attend alcohol counselling sessions.
