Kaan Kazgan shared the full story of his fight with Savaş Cebeci
Welcome to the latest edition of Missed Fists, where we highlight boxing fights from around the world that may be overlooked in this busy time when there seems to be an MMA show every other day.
We love showcasing the craziest fights and events here at Missed Fists HQ, but this weekend’s freak show fight is actually the biggest duel of the weekend (year?). Jake Paul vs. Anderson Silva! What? ! ? Have you heard about this? ? ?
Anyway, before we dive headlong into this unlikely/interesting/potentially frustrating crossover boxing match, let’s just focus on the mix of martial arts, starting with perhaps the most vicious calf cut I’ve ever seen in my life.
(As always, thanks to @Barrelelapierna for listing the top KOs and submissions every week, and to @Grabaka_Hitman for uploading many of the clips you see here. Follow them and join Patreon if you can.) Saturday…just no. I don’t want anything to do with that.
That’s when Leonard Casotti finished off Mahmoud Mando with a truly horrific variation of the calf cut, which was set up in the scramble and Mando just tried to twist and kick Out Mando, but not really getting rid of his legs. Instead, he ended up face down on the mat, with Casotti’s full weight causing his legs to buckle in toward his body.
Short of switching to a John Cena STF, I can’t imagine this hold being more painful. One can only hope that Mando is rescued in time before he suffers further harm.
When we last covered Ayan Tursyn, she was whipping her opponent with a spinning fist at an amateur tournament in Kazan, Russia last year. She turned pro last June and is now 2-0, with this knockout sequence earning her her second win at Octagon 36 in Izmit, Turkey.
